With the Braunschweig International Graduate School of Metrology the Technische Universität Braunschweig and the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) aim at establishing an international training centre for the science and application of traceable measurements.
The school combines three aspects:
The research areas of the Graduate School are open to students from all scientific areas with a strong link to metrology. If you have a master's or equivalent degree in engineering, natural sciences etc. you are welcome to apply for a PhD position at our Graduate School.
Studying successfully at the Braunschweig International Graduate School of Metrology will qualify you for both an academic as well as an industrial career. You will be supported with an individually developed career plan and provided with many contacts to industry and research institutions. Furthermore, an international advisory board supports the graduate school.
In the winter semester 2011/2012, graduate school members present Recent Work. In addition, three researchers from the PTB (Dr. Ulbig, Dr. Wynands, Dr. Kroner) talked about certain aspects of their work.

Our Summer School of Metrology 2012 will take place from 29 May to 1 June, again at Burg Warberg close to Braunschweig. Interested metrologists are invited to attend this outstanding event.
